BoostLED™ Mu Series 135 LED Module features Cool White, Royal Blue, and Violet (~400nm) LED's.  Our combination of LED's will give your aquarium a very crisp 14,000 Kelvin look.  Our Mu Series LED Module features Royal Blue LED's which improve coral coloration and produce vibrant fluorescence of corals.  The Violet LED's, exclusive to our Mu Series, provide a peak ~400nm light spectrum that many believe help enhance coral coloration and accentuate red coral colors.  The LED's are controlled via 2 separate switches and power cords.  One switch controls a combination of Royal Blue and Cool White LED's, and the other controls a combination of Royal Blue and Violet designed to simulate dusk and dawn lighting.  The LED's are mounted onto a "finned" aluminum heatsink providing a very high cooling surface area.  Three 80mm x 80mm fans are positioned to blow across the "finned" heatsink to keep vital internal components cool.  Air exiting the side vents measure ~95 degrees F (when operating at 75-80 degrees F room temperature).

Our Mu Series 135 LED Module rivals 250W+ metal halide fixtures in terms of PAR output (see below).  Not only does it have higher PAR output, it is MUCH more efficient, uses less electricity, and produces minimal amount of heat so you won't even need a chiller.  Unlike metal halide and T5 fixtures, there are no bulbs to replace every 6-9 months which saves you money!

The LED's in our Mu Series have wavelengths peaking in the violet to blue light spectrum, which will accentuate corals and provide a significant amount of PAR & PUR (Photosynthetically Useable Radiation) for coral growth.  Besides having a peak wavelength of 450nm in the royal blue color spectrum, our Cool White LED's also provide light output in the green to red color spectrum to complement the overall blue spectrum to give your aquarium a sharp look.   For further information, please check out the spectrograms below.

Our Mu Series 135 LED Module fixture case is painted anodized black, which gives a clean slick look suitable for any decor and has anti-corrosive properties able to withstand the harsh saltwater environment.  Comes with hardware for hanging.  (Note we do not provide long ceiling hanging kits or in canopy mounting brackets--both which can be easily found at your local hardware store.)
